The Joyful Youth Musical Alliance

is a passion project I started during the summer of my sophomore year of high school. When my family moved upstate in 2022, I lost the performance connections I'd spent years building. I missed the moments of connection with audiences—the smiling faces, the way people moved gently to the melody. JYMA became my way of bringing that joy back, not just for myself, but for communities that don't always have access to live music.

Over the years, we’ve gone from a group of friends hosting impromptu performances to an organized, elite ensemble of young musicians, determined to make a difference in our community through music.
